Hi what are the requirements for try outs for thunder cats

ThunderCats require a standing backhandspring and a front walkover-round off- backhandspring. We offer free tumbling all week if you need to come work on your skills!

I just want to say what an admirable program you have! We were back stage for two "bad situations" during Reach the beach in Daytona and me and some of the other coaches watched you handle then with total class and grace.... one was when the floor blew over during your routine. The way you and your coaches not only handled the entire situation, but calmed down the kids and got them excited to go back out again! The other was when a "staff" member was being rude to you and your girls. You acted in an extremely professional manner that I don't think most coaches could have done given the circumstances. And by the way, I wrote ACDA about that because I have never seen competition staff act that way! All in all, your program is just a class act and I was so happy to see you place so well. Congratulations on your championships and grand chamoionships! Keep up the good work!

Thank you! It is always nice to hear from other programs in this industry. It was a great competition and we did enjoy it, despite some crazy "situations"!

I am a high school cheerleader and I am thinking about becoming an all star cheerleader as well. I don't know what is expected with tumbling, so can you please tell me what I need starting at the lowest tumbling skill needed. Please and Thank you so much!

Thank you for writing!

We have teams for different levels, some don't require tumbling, just cheer experience and we can teach the tumbling.

If you would like to start with tumbling classes now to help you prepare, we would love to give you more information on that. Just email me at PCAcoachPen@aol.com

Hope to hear from you soon!

Tumbling classes are $45 per month, but we are running a special this month - February, March and April all for only $100.

I'll be moving to port orange for the new school year, what are your tryouts like? Are they really scary like everyone gets a number a assigned a tumbling pass? Or what? I'm kinda nervous about finding a new gym:(

Our "Team Placements" are not scary at all! You aren't assigned a number, we want to know your name when you become a part of our family! You will learn a short dance and then you will perform with a small group (of people that you pick). You are asked to show us jumps, the dance you learn and any tumbling that you can SAFELY perform. We have beginner through level 4 teams in all age ranges, so you WILL make a team! Our teams are not only broken up by skill level, but by age, and this season, we have 9 different teams.

If you would like more information, or want to come in and check out our gym and teams, please contact Penny Howell at PCAcoachPen@aol.com or call the gym 386-756-2131.

Thanks for writing and hope to hear from you soon!

Trust the Testimony!

"We couldn't be happier. Our daughter loves cheer thanks to PCA! You may join thinking they will just learn about cheer but you leave with life lessons and lifetime friendships. Truly there isn't a better gym around. You won't find the kind of commitment, devotion anywhere else. PCA truly does become family."

"The best cheer program in town!!"

"So impressed by this Gym! Penny is very professional & all the coaches are so nice! They welcomed my little girl with open arms & immediately made her feel like she belongs here! We are so excited for this new season & I can’t wait to watch my daughter grow as an athlete doing what she loves to do!"
